The Process

A Caring Choice acts as your personal guide through the entire senior care process, from your first phone call to your loved one’s first day in their new home. Without that guidance, most families face the same daunting reality: hundreds of facilities to research, cold calls to make, tours to schedule, and paperwork they’ve never seen before — all while managing the emotional weight of the situation. We take all of that off your plate, at no cost to you. Here’s exactly what working with us looks like.

You reach out — however is easiest

Call, email, or use our contact form, whichever feels most comfortable. There’s no wrong way to start. Most families begin with a phone call to (360) 910-2154 to begin exploring options.

We listen and learn about your loved one

We start with a conversation, either by phone or in person, to understand your loved one’s care needs, medical situation, location preferences, and budget. There’s no pressure and no obligation. This helps us identify the right type of facility and narrow down the best options in Clark County and the surrounding area.

We identify your best options and tour them with you

Based on what we learn, we personally contact the facilities that best fit your loved one’s needs and arrange tours, and we go with you. We’ve visited these communities ourselves, we know the staff, and we’ll ask the right questions so you don’t have to.

We coordinate your required RN assessment

Washington state requires an in-person assessment by a registered nurse before move-in to any licensed facility — we coordinate this on your behalf. The assessment is conducted by an independent RN and paid directly by the family; the cost is typically $400–$500. We’ll make sure this happens smoothly, and no additional cost to you, and doesn’t slow down your timeline.

We coordinate move-in and follow up to make sure everything is right

Once you’ve chosen the right facility, we help coordinate the move-in date and stay involved until your loved one is settled. Two to four weeks after move-in, we follow up with both you and the facility to make sure everything is going well, because our job isn’t done until your family has peace of mind.
